Tile Wall Pieces

The tile wall pieces are a some of the most satisfying things I make. The wet-clay process is relatively quick, which means I get a lot done in a relatively short time. They also connect deeply to my feelings and experiences with the world around me which makes them almost impossible not to make.
The pieces on this page are precursors to the series of deep-relief carved tiles I began in the summer of 2006. This new series has launched me into a whole new way of working and given me such a great sense of satisfaction with what I'm doing. Please click here and here to see some of these pieces.
